Keystone House
Not all of Larry Gilland Associates Studios' work is in Colorado Springs. We have also completed projects in many other regions of the Colorado Rockies.
Residences in the mountains require resilient structural design and moisture protection in response to the mounds of snow which could cover them during the colder months of the year. LGA is familiar with all the little details which enable houses to withstand inclement weather.
In general, the Home Owner's Associations (HOAs) in the mountain towns have particular covenants when it comes to the aesthetic appearance of their neighborhoods. Often a new home will need to obtain the local HOA's approval in a several-step process. The sketch of the house featured here has been approved by the HOA in its Keystone neighborhood. The next steps will involve submitting detailed construction drawings and exterior material samples.
The Colorado mountains are certainly a beautiful place to build, but some additional expertise is necessary for success!
