Concept for a LEED Gold Facility in a Mountain Community
LGA Studios has so many ideas which we hope to bring to fruition. This one is of a government facility with an adjacent visitor center, at a major intersection near a downtown in the Rocky Mountains.
The facility would be planned as a LEED-certified facility. The drawing above shows solar panels in the back of the site, to be shared between the two buildings, geothermal heating, and a green roof on the main building. The water run-off would be handled both by pervious paving (paving which allows water through) in the parking lot and a detention pond near the front of the site.
If this project gets built it would be a joint venture - probably as part of a design-build team. These images are a good start towards that. The drawing shown is by David Thorpe, and the three-dimensional model by Bill Fisher.
